Domestic Violence in

Riley County

Let's chat with the experts.

Where can I find help?

Kaitlin never imagined as a high school senior that the boy who made her feel so special at his senior prom would become a man who filled her with fear.

Statistically, Kaitlin's voice represents just one of hundreds of other women sitting in Kansas State University classrooms who are or have been silently trapped in relationships dominated by physical and psychological abuse.

According to the National Institute of Justice and the CDC, one in four women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, and women ages 20-24 are the most vulnerable to intimate partner violence.

Domestic violence remains a widespread, but seldom discussed problem affecting the lives of millions around the world.
